A Cyclone WARNING is current for coastal areas from Exmouth to
Carnarvon,
Tropical Cyclone Nicholas is situated just west of Coral Bay and continues to
move in a southerly direction. DAMAGING winds with gusts to 100 kilometres per
hour are likely between North West Cape and Cape Cuvier and may extend south to
Carnarvon during today. Nicholas is expected to continue to weaken as the cyclone
moves further south. Winds should ease near North West Cape later this morning.
RED ALERT: People in or near Coral Bay should move to shelter.
BLUE ALERT: People in or near coastal communities between Cape
Cuvier and
Carnarvon including Carnarvon should start taking precautions.

TROPICAL CYCLONE ADVICE 13
Issued at 5:15pm on Monday the 19th of November 2007
A Tropical Cyclone WARNING is current for the Torres Strait Islands
and coastal areas between Thursday Island and Coen.
The Tropical Cyclone WARNING also extends inland to areas north of Weipa.
A Tropical Cyclone WATCH remains current for the remainder of Cape
York Peninsula north of Cape Keerweer and Coen.
The Tropical Cyclone WARNING for coastal areas between Coen and
Cape Melville has been CANCELLED.
At 3:00 pm EST Tropical Cyclone Guba Category 1 with central pressure 990 hectopascals was
centred near latitude 11.8 south and longitude 144.7 east which is 210 kilometres east
southeast of Orford Ness and 295 kilometres east southeast of Horn Island.
TROPICAL CYCLONE Guba, CATEGORY 1, with gusts up to 120 km/h is expected to INTENSIFY and
may make landfall on the east coast of Cape York Peninsula tomorrow.
DAMAGING winds of up to 120 km/hr may develop on the Torres Strait Islands and the coast
between Thursday Island and Lockhart River from early tomorrow morning.
GALES may develop on the Torres Strait Islands and the coast between Thursday Island and
Coen overnight. GALES may extend further west across Cape York Peninsula on Tuesday.
As the cyclone crosses/approaches the coast, a storm tide is expected between Lockhart
River and Thursday Island. Large waves may produce minor flooding along the foreshore.
People living in areas likely to be affected by this flooding should take measures to
protect their property as much as possible and be prepared to help their neighbours.
Flood rains are likely in the vicinity of the cyclone as it approaches the coast.

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH
The CYCLONE WARNING for coastal areas from Pardoo to Bidyadanga is
CANCELLED.
At 8:00 am WST Ex-Tropical Cyclone Kara was estimated to be 80 kilometres east northeast
of Wallal and 85 kilometres southwest of Bidyadanga, moving east at 18 kilometres per
hour.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Kara decayed rapidly overnight and weakened below tropical cyclone
intensity as it approached Eighty Mile Beach.
The system will continue to dissipate further during today.
HEAVY RAIN is expected to persist in parts of the far eastern Pilbara and northern
Interior today, but should ease on Thursday.

Tropical Cyclone Warning: Tropical Storm "CALOY" {CHANCHU}
Issued at 5:00 a.m., Saturday, 13 May 2006
Tropical Storm "CALOY" has slowed down slightly while crossing Mindoro
Provinces during the past six hours and is now off the western coast of Occidental
Mindoro.
Location of Center: (as of 4:00 a.m.) 60 kms southwest of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro
Coordinates: 13.1°N, 120.8°E
Strength: maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph
Movement: west northwest at 15 kph towards the South China Sea
Forecast Positions / Outlook: Sunday morning: expected to be over the South China Sea or
340 kms west northwest of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro
Monday morning: 630 kms west northwest of Metro Manila or 560 kms west southwest of
Dagupan City

Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere is now lowered.
Residents along coastal areas are advised to seek higher grounds due
to big waves generated by the storm. Those residing in low-lying areas and near mountain
slopes are alerted against flashfloods and landslides.
The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take
appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11:00 p.m. today.
